Such a picturesque wedding venue! The stunning Villa del Sol d’Oro in Sierra Madre is a beautiful historic venue. I had the honor of photographing a couple there for there wedding photos, Despite the unexpected rain on their special day, this venue had a thoughtful contingency plan in place, offering an extra day for photos if the weather didn’t cooperate. The Villa del Sol d’Oro, with its lush gardens, elegant architecture, and charming courtyards, provided an exquisite location for photographs, and I’m sure any wedding day would be beautiful here.

Was here for a friend’s wedding and it was so lovely. Service was great and the food was better than other weddings I’ve attended. Loved how spacious everything was!

I'm so amazed to learn that the villa in Sierra Madre could be used for weddings and parties. It was also used in many movies and television shows filmed at like Legally Blonde with Reese Witherspoon, Legion, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Princess Diaries as part of the filming location. I love that this villa was used as the girls private school in Legally Blonde.

Andrea did not show up. I flew from Texas and drove an hour to see this venue and she did not show or respond. I called her and she answered the phone and then hung up on me. Prior to this she was incredibly difficult to communicate with. I can’t imagine working with someone like her. The grounds are also overgrown with weeds.

Beautiful venue. I would love to give it 5 Star but Andrea, the manager, is an absolutely awful person. Not only was she repeatedly rude to my wife, she refused to allow people to come early for hair and make up, repeatedly forgot to open the venue when we had walk throughs with vendors, would be out of contact for days at a time, and ended it all by harassing my wife over cleaning fees because she found some roses and a chapstick on the ground.
