The Cara was great.

Bed was comfy and the pillows soft and fluffy.

Staff were amazing.

A lot of food choices and drinks. Bar music was super cool. Guests were friendly too.

Dani took care of us and she was amazing. Always happy to help us with a big smile.

A bevi for you on our next visit for sure Dani.

Highly recommend the Cara, it’s our go to hotel in LA for sure.

I am an event planner and recently hosted a surprise party for my client at the Cara. Charlie and the team were absolute PERFECTION. From the initial meeting to every site visit and down to the event itself - seamless! They pay such attention to every detail, are so beyond responsive, and not to mention BEYOND KIND. I will certainly be back to host more events at the Cara. HIGHLY recommend!!

There is a restaurant inside the hotel. It has a very sweet atmosphere, but unfortunately the service and food did not meet my expectations. The service was very slow, the waiter took our orders forty-five minutes after we sat at the table, and their menu is quite limited. Cara hotel may be preferred if you want to take nice photos, but other than that, it doesn't have any other trick.

Wear earplugs. The buildings weren’t built sound proofed before it became a hotel and I could hear the fellow in the next room snoring and having conversations. The rooms are lovely tho, the staff was attentive in a location great. If you are travelling from a later time zone, the breakfast doesn’t start until 8am and it wasn’t very good. I don’t know if they’re still finding their feet regarding staffing but one morning there was only one person waiting quite a few tables and tho her tone was polite and accommodating she was stretched thin and the service suffered because of it.

Sadly I didn’t swim.

The only reason the Cara Hotel is getting a 5-star review is because that is as high as the rating system allows. The rooms are excellent, the staff is amazing, and the location is ideal (I was in town for Hollywood Bowl concerts). The Cara will be my go-to hotel for when I travel to the Los Angeles area in the future.

This might be our new go-to hotel whenever we come to LA. Truly amazing vibes all around at this small boutique hotel tucked away in Los Feliz.

Staff and service were both friendly and helpful. Our room was tastefully decorated and so cozy (get a balcony room if you can!). We barely left the hotel during our stay as there were plenty of areas to work, eat, and relax. You all get all the perks of being in a busy neighborhood - plenty of food, coffee, and grocery options within walking distance - and yet the hotel atmosphere kept a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Can’t wait to stay again ✨

The CARA HOTEL has an imposing entrance. We were invited to an 80th birthday party and only visited the lobby, patio, and restaurant.

Dropping our car with the valet, we ascend the six sandstone stairs, passed through the formal entrance and stepped into the small anteroom of the monochromatic, Cara Hotel. To our left is an open room with an imposing, lovingly restored, antique executive desk, which serves as the reception desk of this exclusive boutique hotel.

An intimate, upscale store, just down the hall, is available to replenish your personal supplies.

In addition to the reflecting pools and the palm trees, the protected patio is elegantly planted with 100 year old olive trees. The elegant furniture offers a comfortable respite from the day's pressures.

The lobby's ADA compatible restrooms are gorgeous.
