I absolutely love the rooftop views. Their service is top tier and their dishes are paired perfectly with ingredients and full of flavor. This salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. The arroz con mariscos is a bit on the small side of but it was so rich and fulfilling, you wouldn’t want anymore.

popped in to Cara Cara for a quick birthday dinner and drinks before a Lakers game. city views were spectacular to pair alongside some whiskey and cocktails and small bites. staff was very attentive and rather quick with our orders, proper rooftop bar in DTLA

Came here to meet a friend for an early dinner since she works close by. I had no idea it was a rooftop restaurant so when driving around I was confused as I saw no signs for it. I parked a block away in a lot for $5, and walked over. The area is a pretty run down part of DTLA, but I did not feel unsafe during the day.

I asked the doorman in the front of the hotel and explained Cara Cara was on the rooftop. My friends arrived and we were sat immediately due to having a reservation.

The view can’t be beat. I love rooftop views so this was right up my alley.

I ordered a drink that wasn’t great. And was $20. So my first reaction wasn’t great. But the food ended up being really good. The menu seems really trendy and chic, and the portions are small, but the food is good. I eat small portions so it was perfect for me, but for someone coming really hungry you’re going to spend a lot to get full.

Overall I liked the food and loved the atmosphere. I’d return for a lunch or dinner with friends.

Great place to enjoy a good meal with a view of LA. Variety of dishes, the Branzino and burger are fantastic. Corkage fee is high but worth it, their selection is limited, same goes for digestives. Make sure you get what you order, they may try to pour something different.

Atmosphere 9/10
Rooftop bar of the LA Proper Downtown Hotel. Awesome views of downtown from the 15th floor. Stylish furniture and a cool backbar. Seated at the bar, you have a great skyline view through a wide window. There is also couch and table seating. Pleasant, calm music (jazz).

Drinks 9/10
Recommendation: Blackberry Velvet, Cara Carajillo
The menu design is simple, on a piece of paper. The glassware is simple, but of high quality. The presentation and garnish are nice. Unfortunately, there are no coasters. Both drinks I tried tasted delicious - great flavor.

Service 8/10
The bartenders are very friendly. Water is served immediately. The prices are above average for LA, but worth it in this case.

Probably the best rooftop bar in LA.
the view of the city was magnificent. Drinks are slightly overpriced, but it's worth it.
And the staffs were very friendly.

Great view and even better food. This food was delicious! Serving size look small but they are satisfying not full but not hungry but perfectly satisfied. The fusion of spices and flavors in the food takes your taste buds in a journey. I highly recommend this restaurant
