My daughter, Viviana, has been taking lessons with Ms. Lydia over a year. She's made tremendous progress in playing songs, techniques, timing & rhythm, as well as music theory - exceeding our expectation. Ms. Lydia understands child psychology; she is very patient with young students. Ms. Lydia's method of teaching is creative and fun for kids which helps young students learn and remember the materials better. My daughter is always looking forwards for the lesson with Ms. Lydia every week. Ms. Lydia also encourages students to try hard to maximize their potential and at the same ensuring the gratification from learning and playing. 5 years ago, after inheriting their great- grandfather's piano we searched for a piano instructor so that our girls could learn to play it. We received several referral to Ms Lydia from different sources. We have been very happy with our daughters' progress and enjoyment of music and music theory that they received with Lydia. Over the years, Lydia has continued to grow her own knowledge of best practices to teach children piano and our girls' have benefited tremendously- not just with technique and music theory, but with discipline and strategy that has helped with their academics as well.
